- In 2019-20, 51% of all school students in India were studying in government schools while 10.8% were studying in govt. aided schools.
- Private schools hosted 35.4% of all students in India in 2019-20, a 4% increase over 4 years.
- 3.2 million students were studying in Madarsas as of Mar'20 - a 13.6% decrease over the previous year.
